Mi5 Producing Hospital Beds and PPE for the Battle Against COVID-19

Mi5 is helping to combat the COVID-19 crisis by manufacturing much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE). We are making medical face shields for healthcare workers at a rate of up to 1,000 per day per as well as flat-pack corrugated, easy-to-deploy emergency field beds, for use in hospitals and shelters in Canada and around the world – for the battle against Coronavirus / COVID-19.

“Last week, Prime Minister Trudeau and Premier Ford asked businesses in Canada to step up and help our people fight COVID-19. We reached out and reviewed their needs that day. I was confident that with our technology and capacity to design and manufacture retail POP products quickly – we could be very helpful right now in the COVID-19 crisis.” said Derek McGeachie, President and CEO.

“We tasked our design teams with finding solutions. In one week Mi5 has produced viable designs and prototypes for temporary beds, medical visors and safety shielding. And we have offered to donate portions of the production costs of masks and beds for hospitals, shelters, front line workers and any organization who is working to support the front line effort through these unprecedented times. We are committed to doing our part for Canada and our community. We are stepping up because we can.”

“If you know an organization or someone we can help, please tell us. And if you have any ideas how we can do something together, please know that our door and our hearts are always open.“
